Arsenal is now focusing on Daniel Sturridge

Arsenal’s top priority signing of the summer was Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy but according to latest rumors, it seems like Vardy will not be making a move to the Emirates Stadium as the English attacker is not interested in leaving Leicester City anytime soon and this has forced Arsenal on having to change targets and Arsene Wenger along with his staff team are setting their sights on Daniel Sturridge.

Daniel Sturridge is attracting the attention of the world after scoring the winning goal against Wales which ensured England’s first victory of the 2016 Euro’s.

Unfortunately for Sturridge, he has been struggling in recent times with injuries which kept him out of action for a significantly long period of time during the 2015-16 Premier League season.

When England faced off against Russia, Sturridge had to settle with a place on the sidelines as he was not utilized due to injury but now that the English attacker is recovered, Sturridge proved his worth as he helped England ensure their first victory of the 2016 Euro’s and Roy Hodgson quickly went on to praise him as the English tactician said:

“He’s a special player, there’s no doubt about that. I’m pleased for him because he had that injury; there was speculation and questions if he was the right player to be in the 23 ‘should he go? and I’m delighted that I showed confidence in him because he’s not let me down very often. We’ve taken a lot of attacking players with us on this occasion, so the options are there.’’ England’s Roy Hodgson said as he praised Daniel Sturridge.

Arsene Wenger is hoping to increase the quality in the attacking department of Arsenal and Sturridge is starting to emerge as a possible candidate that might be signed during the summer and already rumors are going on claiming that an offer in the region of £50m is being prepared for the English attacker.
